We are a fast paced and busy animal shelter that is currently looking for highly motivated, hardworking individuals to join the Nevada County Animal Shelter team. We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Temporary Kennel Attendant. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care and be committed to providing a safe and nurturing environment for animals. As a Kennel Attendant, you will play a crucial role in the daily operations of our facility, ensuring the well-being of the animals in our care. Responsibilities Provide daily care for animals, including feeding and exercising dogs. Maintain cleanliness of kennels and common areas by performing regular cleaning tasks. Assist with grooming and bathing animals as needed. Monitor the health and behavior of animals, reporting any concerns. Assist in heavy lifting up to 110lb tasks related to animal care, including moving crates or supplies. Fast Pace Environment; pride of cleanliness. Experience Previous Kennel experience, or animal handling and dog Training is preferred. Ability to perform animal restraint safely and effectively. Must be comfortable with heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks associated with animal care. A genuine love for animals and a commitment to their well-being is essential. Why Nevada County?
