Duties Lead and motivate a team of groomers, ensuring high standards of pet grooming, pet coat styling, and animal handling are consistently met Oversee daily salon operations, including scheduling appointments, managing supplies, and maintaining cleanliness and safety protocols Perform pet grooming services such as bathing, trimming, pet nail trimming, and breed-specific styling with precision and care Handle animals safely using animal restraint techniques and ensure their comfort during grooming procedures Communicate effectively with pet owners to understand their needs, provide updates on pet care, and offer grooming recommendations Assist with training team members in animal handling, and customer service best practices Coordinate breaks and lunches while maintaining coverage Handle call-outs and reorangize the floor when someone is absent Make sure opening, closing, cleaning, and daily task lists are complete Staff Leadership Give employees direction throughout the day Make sure staff stay productive during slower periods Train and coach new bathers Document significant employee issues and address them Help maintain a positive, prefessional work enviroment Experience Proven experience in pet grooming, including pet coat styling and pet nail trimming Knowledge of dog training techniques and animal handling skills for companion animals and equine experience preferred Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly with pet owners about grooming needs and animal care Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary for equipment or animal handling Familiarity with animal restraint techniques and general animal care practices to ensure safety for pets and staff Previous leadership or supervisory experience in a grooming salon or animal care environment is a plus Minimum 1 year of previous management supervisor, or team lead experience Join us as a Grooming Salon Lead to elevate the standard of pet grooming while leading a dedicated team committed to compassionate animal care.
