This is a hands-on, mobile position providing professional dog walking and in-home pet care throughout our service area. You'll travel between clients' homes to walk dogs, provide meals and fresh water, clean litter boxes and pet messes, give medications when trained and assigned, and make sure each pet is safe, comfortable, and well cared for. Our Pet Care Specialists work independently in the field while being supported by an experienced team. Strong communication, attention to detail, reliability, and good judgment are just as important as a genuine love of animals. This is a great fit for someone who enjoys being active, takes pride in doing things correctly, and understands that dependable pet care means showing up consistently—even when it's hot, cold, raining, or your furry client would rather stay on the couch. Duties Job Duties & Responsibilities Travel to clients' homes throughout the Sacramento area to provide scheduled pet care visits. Walk dogs safely and appropriately based on each dog's needs, temperament, and instructions. Provide fresh food and water according to client directions. Clean litter boxes, pet accidents, food areas, and other pet-related messes as needed. Administer oral, topical, or injectable medications when trained and assigned. Provide playtime, enrichment, companionship, and affection appropriate to each pet. Carefully follow each client's written care instructions and household procedures. Monitor pets for changes in behavior, appetite, mobility, health, or overall well-being and promptly report concerns. Complete clear, thoughtful visit reports and provide quality photos after each visit. Maintain secure entry to clients' homes and follow all key, alarm, gate, and home-security procedures. Communicate promptly and professionally with the Lucky Buddy Petcare office and team. Keep an accurate schedule and arrive within assigned service windows. Safely handle dogs of different sizes, breeds, ages, and energy levels. Maintain a clean, professional appearance and represent Lucky Buddy Petcare respectfully in clients' homes and neighborhoods. Assist with other pet-care or administrative visits as assigned, including supply or key-related visits. Qualifications Reliable, dependable, and able to work independently. Genuine comfort and confidence around dogs, cats, and other household pets. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written instructions carefully. Excelelnt judgment and the ability to recognize and report changes in a pet's behavior or condition. Professional, friendly communication skills. Comfortable using a smartphone for schedules, visit instructions, photos, and client reports. Reliable vehicle, valid driver's license, and current auto insurance. Able to travel between clients' homes throughout our Sacramento service area. Physically able to walk dogs, bend, kneel, climb stairs, and remain active throughout the workday. Comfortable working outdoors in Sacramento weather, including heat, cold, and rain. Available during the days and time periods required for the position. Must be dependable when scheduled, including weekends and holidays.

Pay:

$16.90 - $20.00 per hour Expected hours: 15.0 - 35.0 per week
