- At Thousand Hills Pet Resort, we offer the full suite of pet care services, including Daycare, overnight Boarding, grooming, and pride ourselves on thoughtful and personalized care for each and every pet we are entrusted with.
- Ensuring all pets are safely and property handled and socialized each day, and performing thorough daily health checks for each pet with high attention to detail.
- Managing multiple animals at a time that are often high-energy, and their interactions with each other.
- Keeping track of each pet at the facility, and their property through Gingr and other organizational methods.
- Providing clients with positive first impressions, greeting clients and pets during drop off or pick up and answering questions/providing information as needed.
- Ensuring the highest level of care for the cleanliness and upkeep of the boarding, daycare, and office facilities and ensuring appropriate comfort and cleanliness for the safety of the pets we serve.
- Participating in cleaning all areas and appropriately managing pet waste, and laundering bedding/belongings.
- Collaboratively creating a positive and fun work environment alongside teammates.
- Other duties as assigned.
Bather/Grooming Team:
Washing and drying dogs thoroughly, utilizing grooming area and equipment safely and appropriately (Previous experience preferred).Reception/Front Office Team:
Acting as the first point of contact for clients, and the hub ensuring that pet owners have peace of mind that their pets are well cared for according to the preferences of the owner and in line with THPR policies. Qualifications and Education Requirements- Experience handling animals preferred (especially dogs).
- Able to lift 50 pounds.
- Able to bend and stand frequently.
- Ability to work outdoors for the majority of your shift in all weather conditions.
- Strong organizational and task prioritization skills.
- Self-motivated and able to work without supervision (Able to get a task done!).
- Strong team work skills.
- General understanding of sanitization and maintenance.
- High level of attention to detail.
- Ability to work in oftentimes loud environment (due to dogs barking during movement across the facility.).
- Weekend, summer, and holiday availability required
- Must be available for a minimum of 20 hours a week. Entry-level pay ($17.00/hour) plus tips (around $2.00 extra/hour) and opportunities for promotion.
