Jan's Pet Sitting has been caring for pets in our community for 30 years. We believe every pet deserves dependable, compassionate care while their family is away. Most of our clients are cat owners, so this isn't your typical dog-walking job. In fact, about 90% of your visits will be caring for cats in their own homes, with the occasional midday dog walk or visit with a small pet. What you'll be doing Every visit is a little different, but you'll spend your day: Feeding pets and refreshing water Cleaning litter boxes Giving medications when needed Spending quality time with cats (the best part!) Dog Walking Sending clients photos and updates that reassure them their pets are happy and safe We're looking for someone who is dependable, kind, observant, and comfortable working independently. Our clients trust us with their beloved pets and their homes, and we take that responsibility seriously. What we offer $20.00 per hour (up to $25.00/hour with tips) Mileage reimbursement Paid training, including Pet First Aid/CPR Paid Time Off Retirement Plan Flexible part-time schedule A supportive team that's always available when you need us A few things to know You'll need a reliable car and a valid driver's license Basic computer skills required We are hiring people who are available a minimum of 3 days/week and up to 5 days week Morning, afternoon and evening shifts available Evening shifts generally run from 4:00 PM to 6:30 PM Weekend availability is a plus Because pets still need care on holidays, availability is required during the weeks of Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's. You'll receive holiday pay and generous tips, and you'll still have time to celebrate with your loved ones. This isn't just checking food bowls and scooping litter boxes. It's giving our clients peace of mind and making sure their pets feel loved and cared and their homes are secure for when they can't be home.
