Dog Bather / Groomer Trainee Precious Pets Grooming Salon is looking for a dependable, hardworking Dog Bather / Groomer Trainee to join our team. We are specifically looking for someone who wants to build a career in dog grooming . This position will start part-time as a dog bather , with the opportunity to increase hours and move into a full-time position as you train and become a groomer . You will start by learning proper bathing, drying, brushing, handling, and salon procedures. As you gain experience and show that you are reliable and ready to learn, we will begin training you in grooming skills so you can eventually take your own grooming appointments. Responsibilities Bathe and dry dogs of all breeds and sizes Brush, comb, and properly prepare dogs for grooming Handle dogs safely and patiently Assist groomers when needed Keep bathing, kennel, and work areas clean and organized Help with general salon cleaning throughout the day Follow instructions and pay close attention to details Work efficiently in a busy, fast-paced grooming salon What We're Looking For Must be interested in becoming a dog groomer Comfortable working with dogs of all sizes, breeds, and temperaments Reliable and punctual Hardworking and willing to learn Able to take direction and constructive feedback Good attention to detail Able to work as part of a team Comfortable with a physically demanding job that includes standing, lifting, bending, cleaning, and getting wet Previous experience with dogs is a plus, but we are willing to train the right person Schedule & Growth Opportunity This position starts part-time while you are working as a dog bather and learning the business . As you progress through grooming training and are able to take on your own grooming clients, there will be an opportunity to transition into a full-time dog groomer position . We are looking for someone who wants more than just a temporary job. We want someone who is interested in learning a valuable skill, becoming a professional groomer, and growing with our salon. Pay:
From $17.00 per hour Expected hours: 12.0 - 20.0 per week
