Job Description

The Brittany Foundation is an all-breed dog rescue and sanctuary in Agua Dulce, CA (Santa Clarita Valley) We are looking for a hard-working individual to join our team as a part-time paid kennel attendant. This position is perfect for someone who loves dogs and enjoys being part of a small team that cares for dogs of all sizes and personalities. Experience working or volunteering at a boarding facility, doggie daycare, animal shelter, animal rescue / sanctuary is a plus! This is a physically demanding position that is mostly outdoors, rain or shine.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Prepare and feed meals; give medication Walk every dog daily and rotate them into play yards throughout the shift Clean kennels, sweep, mop, and keep all common areas neat and organized Dishwashing, folding, and putting away laundry Observe dogs and report behavioral issues or health concerns Bathe dogs Move and organize supplies Assist and direct volunteers as needed Perform other relevant duties as needed The current part-time shift is from 7:30 am - 12:00 pm on Sunday, Monday and Thursday. Reliable transportation is required. There is no public transportation available near our location. A resume is not required, but previous work experience is. When reaching out, please tell us where you have worked and share any experience you have with dogs, including volunteering at a rescue or shelter, working at a veterinary office, boarding facility, or doggie daycare. We are looking for someone who is always on time, reliable, hardworking, and ready to help give our pups the care and love they deserve!
