Experienced Kennel Tech/ Animal Care Specialist

Spring Creek Kennel & Cattery is a family owned dog and cat boarding facility in Spring Valley, CA. We are seeking a Flexible Full-Time Experienced Kennel Attendant who is knowledgeable about pets, customer service oriented, enthusiastic and hard-working.

Roles & Responsibilities:
Perform all tasks of kennel attendant proficiently on a daily basis. This includes but is not limited to the following: Hourly Cleaning, Dishes, Wysiwashing, Mopping, Vacuuming, Laundry, Feeding, Medicating, Deep Cleaning Tasks etc. Exhibit honesty, discretion and sound judgment Promote positive work morale by maintaining a positive outlook Maintain composure and friendly demeanor while dealing with stressful situations Provide Grooming Services when necessary (Flea Baths, Nail Trim, Baths etc.) Administer Medications and be confident pilling pets if needed Ensure all pets are fed, medicated, watered, exercised and in good health The following Training, Skills, Knowledge and/or Experience are required for this job title: Flexible Availability. MUST be Able to work any shift and must be available weekends and holidays.
MUST BE AVAILABLE TO WORK ON SUNDAYS.
Must be able to swim. There is a pool on-site at one of our locations Must have experience with dogs and cats of all breeds and ages Must genuinely enjoy taking care of animals and putting their well-being first. Strong team player with the ability to work independently without direct supervision Possess high energy, enthusiasm and maintain a persistent mind-set Able to properly handle, exercise and control large or difficult pets Must have a reliable vehicle and direct phone contact Must be able to lift at least 50lbs Must be able to work closely with animal dander/hair. Our facility is drug and alcohol free and all employees are subject to testing.

Full-time Pay:
$19.00 - $21.00 per hour
