Aardvarks Adventureland was voted #1 Groomer and Doggy Daycare in Vallejo by the Vallejo Sun , and we are looking for an experienced and passionate Dog Groomer and/or Bather to join our team. We currently have openings for a Groomer as well as bathing shifts available throughout the week and weekends . In this fast-paced and energetic role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality grooming and bathing services to ensure every dog looks and feels their best. Your attention to detail, patience, and compassion will help create a safe, positive, and stress-free experience for each pet. This is a great opportunity to combine your love for animals with your professional grooming skills while making a meaningful impact on both pets and their owners.
Compensation Full-Service Groomer:
Hourly base pay + commission + tips
Bather:
Hourly pay + tips Duties & Responsibilities Safely handle dogs of all breeds, sizes, and temperaments using proper restraint techniques Perform bathing, drying, brushing, trimming, and styling according to breed standards and client preferences Assess each pet's coat, skin, ears, teeth, and nails, noting any health concerns or special needs Maintain a clean, sanitary, and organized grooming area, including disinfecting tools and equipment after each use Provide excellent customer service by clearly communicating grooming services and addressing client questions Support a calm grooming environment by using proper handling techniques and basic behavioral awareness Requirements Prior professional experience in dog grooming and/or bathing is required Strong knowledge of animal handling, safety, and restraint techniques Ability to lift and handle dogs of various sizes safely Reliable, punctual, and able to work in a fast-paced environment Friendly, professional demeanor with strong customer service skills Passion for working with animals and providing top-quality care Join us in creating happy, healthy pets through compassionate grooming! Pay:
$17.00 - $18.00 per hour
