  • Groom and style pets according to client preferences and breed standards
  • Bathe, brush, and trim pets' fur or feathers
  • Clip nails, clean ears, and perform other grooming tasks as needed
  • Assess and communicate any health issues or concerns to pet owners
  • Maintain a clean and safe grooming area
  • Provide excellent customer service and ensure client satisfaction ```Experience```
  • Previous experience as a pet groomer or in a related field is preferred
  • Knowledge of different grooming styles for various breeds of dogs, cats, or other animals
  • Familiarity with animal handling techniques and behavior
  • Ability to handle animals of all sizes and temperaments with care and compassion
  • Strong customer service skills to effectively communicate with pet owners
Skills:
  • Animal handling: Ability to safely handle and restrain animals during grooming procedures
  • Equine:
    Knowledge of grooming techniques specific to horses (optional)
  • Customer service: Ability to provide friendly and professional customer service to pet owners
  • Veterinary:
    Basic understanding of animal health and common medical issues
  • Dog training: Familiarity with basic dog training techniques (optional)
  • Heavy lifting: Ability to lift and carry heavy animals or equipment as needed
  • Animal restraint: Skill in safely restraining animals during grooming procedures
  • Kennel:
    Experience working in a kennel or similar animal care facility (optional)
  • Dog handling: Proficiency in handling dogs of various sizes and temperaments
  • Veterinary assistant: Experience working as a veterinary assistant or in a veterinary clinic (optional)
