Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Specialist to join our team in providing exceptional care for animals. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in pet care, animal handling, and customer service, with experience in veterinary or kennel environments. This role involves working closely with pets and their owners to ensure the highest standards of animal welfare and client satisfaction. The Care Specialist will play a vital role in maintaining a safe, clean, and nurturing environment for animals in our care. Duties Assist with pet grooming, feeding, and administering medications as needed Handle animals safely, animal handling skills Provide pet sitting services, including playing, and monitoring pets' health and behavior. Perform heavy lifting when necessary to move supplies or animals safely Ensure all animals are comfortable and stress-free during their stay or treatment Follow all safety protocols to prevent injury to animals and staff We are looking for someone who loves Dogs and is able to be with the Dogs and watch out for them during the employees shift. We are a family owned company operated by a husband and wife team. We are hoping to find the right fit to join our small team. Experience Dog training or dog handling experience preferred Pet grooming, pet sitting, or kennel experience beneficial Animal handling and restraint skills preferred Customer service experience is a plus for engaging with pet owners effectively Ability to perform heavy lifting safely is necessary Prior work in animal care facilities such as kennels or shelters is advantageous This position offers an opportunity to work in a rewarding environment dedicated to animal well-being.
