Left Hand Animal Hospital in Niwot, CO is looking for a dependable, compassionate Animal Care Attendant to join our team! This is a behind-the-scenes position that plays an important role in the care and comfort of our patients. From energetic puppies and spirited Labradors to senior cats who need a little extra TLC, you'll help make sure every patient feels safe, comfortable, clean, and cared for while they are with us. We are a Fear Free Certified Practice , which means we put a strong emphasis on reducing stress and creating positive experiences for our patients. What You'll Be Doing Your days will include a combination of animal care, hospital support, and yes... plenty of cleaning! Some of your responsibilities will include: Caring for hospitalized and boarding patients Feeding, walking, and providing enrichment as directed Keeping kennels, treatment areas, and patient spaces clean and comfortable Monitoring patients and communicating concerns to the medical team Helping with laundry, dishes, stocking, and general hospital upkeep Assisting the veterinary team with patient handling and basic hospital needs Helping create a calm, clean, and welcoming environment for our patients This is an active position, and cleaning is a significant part of the job. We're looking for someone who understands that excellent patient care includes keeping the hospital clean, organized, and ready for the next patient. Who We're Looking For The right person will be: Compassionate and genuinely comfortable working with dogs and cats Dependable and willing to jump in wherever needed Comfortable with physical work, including standing, bending, lifting, cleaning, and being on your feet throughout the day Detail-oriented and able to follow directions A strong communicator who works well as part of a team Comfortable working around animals who may be fearful, anxious, or difficult to handle Someone who takes pride in doing the "little things" that make a big difference Veterinary experience is helpful, but we are willing to train the right person .
