Dog Groomer

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Pet Groomer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a love for animals and a strong background in pet care, grooming, and customer service. This role involves providing high-quality grooming services to pets while ensuring their comfort and safety. The Pet Groomer will also interact with pet owners to understand their needs and preferences, creating a positive experience for both pets and their owners. Previous grooming experience is required. Responsibilities Perform grooming services including bathing, trimming, and styling of various breeds of dogs and other pets. Assess the condition of pets' coats and skin, identifying any health issues that may require veterinary attention. Handle and restrain animals safely during grooming procedures to ensure their well-being. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the grooming area, including tools and equipment. Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with pet owners about grooming options and aftercare. Keep detailed records of each pet's grooming history and any special instructions from owners. Assist with general animal care tasks as needed, including feeding, bathing, and exercising pets. Collaborate with team members to create a positive work environment. Skills Proficient in pet grooming techniques for various breeds. Experience in dog training or handling is highly desirable. Background in veterinary technician or veterinary assistant roles is a plus. Strong animal handling skills with knowledge of animal restraint methods. Excellent customer service skills to effectively communicate with pet owners. Ability to perform heavy lifting when handling larger animals or equipment. Previous kennel experience or pet sitting experience is an advantage. A genuine passion for animal care and welfare.
