Duties Perform comprehensive grooming services including bathing, trimming, styling, and nail clipping tailored to each dog's breed and individual needs Assess each pet's coat condition, skin health, and temperament to determine appropriate grooming techniques Handle dogs safely using proper animal restraint and handling skills to ensure comfort and security during grooming sessions Maintain cleanliness of grooming tools, workstations, and bathing areas in accordance with health standards Communicate effectively with pet owners about grooming preferences, special needs, or health concerns such as veterinary issues or behavioral considerations Assist with pet care routines such as ear cleaning, teeth brushing, and skin treatments when necessary Support other team members with animal handling tasks including dog training or basic veterinary assistance when needed Skills Proven experience in pet grooming with a strong understanding of breed-specific cuts and styles Knowledge of animal handling techniques and restraint methods to ensure safety for pets and staff Familiarity with veterinary procedures or veterinary technician experience is a plus for recognizing health issues during grooming Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary to handle larger dogs or move equipment safely Excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with pet owners and address their concerns confidently Experience in dog training or pet sitting enhances your ability to manage diverse temperaments effectively Strong animal handling skills combined with pet care knowledge ensure a calm, positive experience for every dog Join us in creating happy, healthy pets through expert grooming!
