Duties:

  • Bathe and drying pets, including dogs
  • Use appropriate shampoos and grooming products based on the pet's needs
  • Brush and comb the pet's fur to remove tangles and mats
  • Trim nails and clean ears as necessary
  • Dry pets using towels and blow dryers
  • Assist with restraining pets during grooming procedures
  • Clean and sanitize grooming tools and equipment
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area ```
Skills:

  • Experience working in a kennel or animal care setting
  • Proficient in handling dogs of all sizes and temperaments
  • Knowledge of pet grooming techniques and best practices
  • Ability to lift heavy objects, such as large dogs or bags of pet food
  • Excellent communication skills for interacting with pet owners
  • Basic understanding of dog training principles is a plus
  • Experience with equine care is a bonus
