Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Pet Salon Assistant to join our team. The Pet Salon Assistant will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of daily salon activities, providing excellent customer service, and maintaining a clean and safe environment for our furry clients.
Key Responsibilities:
Check dogs in and out of the salon. Complete transactions and handle cash and credit card payments. Perform routine daily and weekly cleaning tasks to maintain salon cleanliness. Answer phones, schedule appointments, and assist clients with inquiries. Utilize appointment scheduling software to manage bookings efficiently. Assist groomers by holding, supporting, and calming dogs during grooming sessions as needed. Clean up after dogs, including accidents and grooming debris. Monitor free-roaming dogs to ensure their safety and comfort.
Qualifications:
Comfortable and confident handling dogs of all breeds and sizes. Understanding of dog behavior and body language. Previous experience in scheduling and customer service preferred. Ability to handle cash transactions accurately. Strong communication skills and a friendly, customer-focused attitude. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks.
