Dog Groomer — The Paw Spa (Henderson) The Paw Spa is a higher-end grooming salon and spa that's been taking care of Henderson's dogs for sixteen years. Busy shop, solid book, very loyal clients — and we're aiming to grow. What the job actually looks like More than four dogs a day, not ten. We're not a speed shop. We're about the quality groom that takes time and skill, paired with excellent time management — the average groom here runs about 90 minutes. Not four hours, and not racing through in thirty minutes. It's also a fun environment with great products. Blueberry facials, nail polish, fur coloring, moisturizing treatments. If you like the creative side of this work, there's room for it here. What we're looking for Someone who knows coats. Doodles, doubles, wires, silkies — all sizes, all ages. You can look at a dog and know what it needs before the owner tells you.
Just as important:
you understand temperament, and you use good judgment with dogs who are difficult or have physical limitations. Knowing when to adjust, pause, slow down and stop is part of the skill. Comfortable with the full groom — bath, dry, clip, scissor, nails, ears, glands. Experience matters more than certificates. If you've been looking for a shop that's a little nicer than most, this is that shop. Hours and pay Tuesday through Saturday, 8am to 3pm. 35 hours a week. Pay is commission-based plus tips, typically about $18-$22 per hour depending on your book. To apply Send a note, a résumé, and a few photos of your work — we'd love to see what you're proudest of. And if there's something in your experience that doesn't show up well on a résumé — a breed you're especially good with, a certification, a shop you loved working in — tell us about that too.
Pay:
$18.00 - $22.00 per hour Expected hours: 35.0 per week
