This is an Independent Contractor Position. You will receive a 1099 at the end of the year and be responsible for your taxes. This position is currently on an as-needed basis with potential for part-time hours, but with no guaranteed schedule. You must be flexible and available 7 days a week. The schedule varies day-to-day and you must be willing to travel around Cape Coral, Fort Myers, and surrounding areas. This is a great opportunity to earn additional income. Duties:

Walk dogs on a regular basis, ensuring their safety and well-being Provide exercise and mental stimulation for dogs during walk Clean up after dogs during walks and dispose of waste properly Follow specific instructions from pet owners regarding the care and handling of their pets Monitor the behavior and health of pets during visits and report any concerns promptly to the owner Provide basic grooming services such as brushing and bathing as needed Maintain a clean and organized work area Communicate with clients regularly to provide updates on the pets and address any concerns or questions they may have Be willing to travel to and from various locations throughout

SWFL Qualifications:

Previous experience working with animals is preferred Ability to handle dogs of all sizes and breeds, including those with behavioral and health issues Comfortable taking care of cats and other small animals (including birds and reptiles) Strong customer service skills to interact with pet owners in a professional and friendly manner Physical stamina to walk multiple dogs for extended periods of time Knowledge of basic pet care and behavior is a plus Ability to lift heavy objects, such as bags of dog food or crates, as needed Available on evenings, weekends, and holidays Be willing to stay overnight in clients' homes on occasion, including weekends Have reliable transportation, good driving record, and a driver's license Must be willing to undergo a background check
