Kennel Assistant -
Animal Care Location:
Dade City, FL We are looking for a dependable, hardworking Kennel Assistant to join our animal-care team. Cleaning and animal-care experience are strongly preferred. This can be an incredibly rewarding position for someone who genuinely enjoys working with dogs. It also carries significant responsibility and requires someone who takes pride in maintaining a clean, safe, and organized environment.
Responsibilities include:
Cleaning and sanitizing kennels, puppy pens, crates, and outdoor runs Safely handling multiple dogs and puppies Feeding and providing fresh water Bathing and drying puppies and dogs Washing, drying, folding, and organizing laundry Monitoring the dogs and promptly communicating any health or behavioral concerns Keeping animal-care areas clean, stocked, and organized Following established cleaning, safety, and animal-care procedures Working cooperatively with other team members to complete daily responsibilities The ideal candidate: Has previous kennel, veterinary, grooming, boarding, rescue, farm, or professional cleaning experience Is dependable, punctual, and ready to work Has a strong work ethic and does not need constant supervision Is upbeat, positive, and comfortable working as part of a team Communicates clearly and promptly Pays close attention to cleanliness, safety, and animal health Is comfortable performing active, physical work throughout the shift Can safely lift, bend, squat, and remain on their feet for extended periods Is comfortable working both indoors and outdoors around dogs of different sizes This is a hands-on position for someone who understands that excellent animal care begins with consistency, cleanliness, teamwork, and attention to detail.
