Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Kennel Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the care and well-being of animals in our facility, ensuring they receive the attention and support they need. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care, strong communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Provide daily care for dogs and other animals, including feeding, grooming, and exercising. Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in kennels and common areas to ensure a safe environment for all pets. Monitor the health and behavior of animals, reporting any concerns to veterinary staff or management. Assist with administering medications as directed by veterinary professionals. Engage with pet owners to provide updates on their pets' well-being and address any questions or concerns. Support grooming activities as needed, ensuring pets are clean and comfortable. Help with heavy lifting tasks related to animal handling and care equipment. Participate in team meetings to discuss animal care protocols and improvements. Skills Proficient in dog handling techniques and animal behavior understanding. Experience with heavy lifting tasks associated with animal care equipment or supplies. Background as a Veterinary Technician or experience in a veterinary setting is advantageous. Strong knowledge of pet care practices, including grooming and general health monitoring. Excellent customer service skills to effectively communicate with pet owners. Ability to handle various animals safely and compassionately in a kennel environment. Familiarity with pet sitting services or previous experience in animal handling is preferred.
