Assists veterinarians with vaccinations or other procedures; screens people who want to adopt an animal from a shelter and provides information about caring for animals.

at least 17 years old for cat care and 19 years old for dog carePerformance Expectations Personal Requirements:
Animal care background is desirable, but not required. Genuinely enjoys working with animals and able to handle them when they are stressed or ill. Must be available to work weekends and holidays. Schedule is flexible. Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks and meet deadlines. Will assist with all shelter chores including laundry, dishes and maintaining overall cleanliness of the shelter. Able to lift and carry animals and food bags up to 40lbs, walk and stand for extended periods of time, frequently work in bent positions. Maintains positive, cooperative relationships and communicates well with other employees, volunteers and potential adopters. Must be on time for shifts and provide advanced notice for time off. Supports the mission of Abandoned Pet Rescue.Pay:
