About Us Paws and Claws Pet Sitting is an established and well-loved pet care company serving the area for over 18 years. We are currently seeking exceptional, dependable, and compassionate Pet Sitters and Dog Walkers to join our trusted network of professionals. Position Overview This is an independent contractor role with a flexible schedule ranging from 0-30 hours per week , depending on client demand. Work is not guaranteed, as assignments are based on client needs. This opportunity is ideal for individuals who: Have a flexible schedule Do not rely on guaranteed weekly income Enjoy working independently Truly love animals Our busiest seasons are summer and holidays , and holiday availability is required. Responsibilities Travel to clients' homes (within ~10-15 miles of your location) Provide pet care visits (typically 15-45 minutes; most are 30 minutes) Walk dogs or provide yard let-outs Feed pets and provide fresh water Administer medications if needed Perform head-to-toe wellness checks Scoop litter boxes and clean up pet accidents Provide playtime, attention, and companionship Water plants, collect mail/newspapers, bring in packages Leave detailed visit notes and communicate with clients and management Handle home access tools (lockboxes, alarms, security gates, GPS check-in/out, nanny cams) Attend new client consultations Assignments may include morning, midday, evening, weekend, and holiday visits . Midday Dog Walkers (MDW) Must be available Monday-Friday, 11:00 AM - 3:00 PM Ongoing weekday assignments Pet Sitters (PS) Must be available for AM/PM visits, weekends, and holidays Typically 2-3 visits per day during client vacations You may perform both MDW and PS services if your schedule allows.
