Job Description

Responsibilities:

Operate safari vehicles safely. Maintain a safe work area. Assist guests needs (i.e. guests issues, escorts out, etc.) Move animals out of roadways and away from gates. Enforce all Safari rules. Able to work on your own most of the day while still functioning as part of a team. Check your assigned section daily. This includes fence lines, trees down, wires not working, animal counts, and any animal issues. Report these issues to management team. Maintain animal sections in safari including cleaning, feeding, and exhibit maintenance. Cooperate with all associates and management. Complete any and all tasks as directed by management even outside the duties listed.

Qualifications:

At least 18 years of age. Must have a valid drivers' license. Individuals must be able to lift and move 50 pounds or more. Must have the ability to work close to animals. Previous animal experience preferred. Must be able to work in all weather conditions: cold, heat, rain, wind, etc. Must be able to sit in vehicles for up to 6 hours at a time and as many as 10 hours a day. Experience Previous experience in animal care or related fields is preferred but not required; training will be provided. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with team members and the public. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Physical stamina to handle the demands of caring for animals, including lifting and moving them as needed. A genuine love for animals and commitment to their welfare is essential.

Job Type:

$14.50 - $15.00 per hour
