Assists veterinarians with vaccinations or other procedures; screens people who want to adopt an animal from a shelter and provides information about caring for animals.

In addition to your hourly wage, team members participate in our tip distribution program . Tips are distributed based on your position and the number of hours worked. Tips can significantly increase your overall hourly earnings , making your total compensation considerably higher than the starting base hourly wage.Responsibilities Include:
Bathing dogs thoroughly using salon procedures Towel drying and safely using professional drying equipment Brushing and combing dogs to prepare their coats for grooming Helping remove loose undercoat and assisting with de-shedding treatments Cleaning ears and assisting with basic grooming preparation Handling dogs safely, patiently and compassionately Recognizing when a dog is nervous, stressed or uncomfortable Communicating with groomers and other team members throughout the grooming process Keeping tubs, bathing areas, grooming areas and equipment clean and sanitary Helping maintain a clean, organized and safe salon Following all salon safety and dog-handling procedures What We're Looking For We are looking for someone who is: Reliable and punctual Comfortable working with dogs of all breeds, sizes and personalities Patient and gentle with animals Able to work in a busy, fast-paced environment Detail-oriented and willing to follow established procedures Comfortable getting wet, working around dog hair and being on their feet for much of the day Physically capable of safely handling and assisting with larger dogs A team player who is willing to help wherever needed Interested in learning and improving their professional pet-care skills Previous dog bathing, grooming salon, veterinary, kennel or animal-care experience is preferred, but we are willing to consider the right person with a great attitude and a strong willingness to learn. Our team works together through every stage of the grooming process—from bathing and drying to fluffing, brushing and the final groom.
