Works with animals in shelters or rescue organizations. Works primarily with dogs and cats. Assists veterinarians with vaccinations or other procedures; screens people who want to adopt an animal from a shelter and provides information about caring for animals.

Job Description
OVERNIGHT
care for pets, including feeding, walking, and administering medication as needed in client's home. (This means you might be booked to stay the night in a client's home with their pets) Ensure the safety and comfort of pets in your care by maintaining a clean and secure environment. Engage with pets through playtime and companionship to promote their mental well-being. Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their pet's behavior, health, and any concerns that may arise through company app. Perform basic grooming tasks as required, such as brushing fur or cleaning paws. Maintain accurate records of pet care routines and any incidents that occur during your time with the animals through company app. Ensure a safe and healthy environment for all animals and handlers under care. Participate in educational workshops or community outreach programs to promote responsible pet ownership. Must be willing to travel. Must own your own vehicle and have a valid driver's license. Must be available for Overnight shifts in client's home Experience The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and experience: Previous experience in pet sitting or animal care, vet tech or dog walker is preferred. Knowledge of animal handling techniques is preffered. Strong customer service skills to effectively communicate with pet owners and address their needs. A smartphone is required. Experience with equine care or veterinary assistance is beneficial but not required. A background in dog training or other animal training methods is beneficial.
