Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a Dog Walker and Pet Sitter, where your passion for animals meets your enthusiasm for providing exceptional care. In this energetic role, you will be responsible for ensuring the happiness, safety, and well-being of pets while their owners are away. Your dedication will help build trusting relationships with pet owners and create a positive impact on the lives of animals through engaging walks, attentive pet sitting, and personalized care. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to work outdoors, stay active, and make a difference in the lives of beloved pets. Duties Walk dogs of all sizes and temperaments, ensuring they receive proper exercise and mental stimulation MUST be able to work major holidays and weekends. We mostly cater to people on vacation. This is NOT a M-F 9-5 job. Provide pet sitting services including feeding, administering medication, and cleaning up after pets Monitor pets' behavior and health during visits, alerting owners or veterinary professionals if needed Maintain detailed records of pet activities, feeding schedules, and any health concerns Attend initial consultations with clients, to obtain business. At these meetings we find out the needs of the client and visits are set up according to the time and services required. These are not paid. Must do visits during the time clients indicate. Typical time frames for clients with dogs are between 7-9am, middle of day and 7-9pm. Must have smartphone as will need access to our booking app and will need to check in/out of visits and send picture updates to client at each visit. Must have own, reliable and insured vehicle. Must have a clean driving record. This is a job where driving is required. Must obtain your own liability insurance (we will show you how). Skills Must have experience providing oral medication to both dogs and cats. Previous kennel experience or pet sitting background demonstrating reliability and responsibility Veterinary or veterinary technician experience to recognize signs of illness or distress in animals is a big plus. Knowledge of pet care best practices including feeding, and administering medication Ability to lift heavy objects such as bags of pet food or litter safely and efficiently Ability to get down on the floor to play with pets as well as ability/mobility to walk long distances with dogs. Excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with pet owners and address their concerns Embark on a rewarding journey caring for animals in a lively environment that values dedication, compassion, and professionalism. $100.00 - $400.00 per week
