We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Dog Groomer to join our Pack! The ideal candidate has experience grooming a variety of dog breeds and is passionate about animal care, safety, and customer satisfaction. You will be responsible for providing high-quality grooming services while ensuring each pet's comfort and well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
Bathe, dry, brush, and trim dogs according to Scenthound standards or customer requests Perform nail trimming, ear cleaning, and teeth brushing Assess pets for skin conditions, parasites, or other health concerns and report findings Handle dogs safely and calmly, including anxious or difficult pets Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of grooming tools and workspace Perform end-of-shift cleaning duties, including disinfecting grooming/bathing stations, tools, and common areas, restocking and ensuring the workspace is organized for the next day Communicate clearly with pet owners regarding services, needs, when possible
Qualifications:
Previous experience as a dog groomer or completion of a grooming certification program preferred Knowledge of various dog breeds, coat types, and grooming techniques Strong animal handling skills and patience Excellent customer service and communication skills Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 70 pounds
Preferred Skills:
Experience with haircuts and bathing Knowledge of pet health and behavior Certification from a recognized grooming school (optional but preferred)
