Duties Perform comprehensive grooming services including bathing, brushing, trimming, and styling of various dog breeds to meet customer specifications Handle dogs with care and confidence, utilizing animal restraint techniques to ensure safety for both pets and staff Conduct pet nail trimming, ear cleaning, teeth brushing, and other hygiene procedures to promote overall health and well-being Communicate clearly with pet owners about grooming preferences, special needs, and aftercare instructions to ensure satisfaction Maintain a clean and organized grooming station, including sanitation of tools and work areas in compliance with health standards Assist with pet handling during veterinary visits or other animal care activities when needed Support pet coat styling by applying breed-specific grooming techniques and current trends in pet fashion Qualifications Proven experience in pet grooming with a strong understanding of dog handling and animal restraint techniques Knowledge of veterinary procedures such as veterinary technician or assistant experience is a plus Familiarity with animal handling, pet care routines, and basic veterinary terminology including veterinary experience is highly desirable Ability to perform pet nail trimming, ear cleaning, bathing, and styling with precision and compassion Excellent communication skills for engaging with pet owners about grooming needs and animal behavior Physical ability to lift heavy dogs safely and perform tasks requiring heavy lifting throughout the day Prior experience in dog training or equine experience is beneficial but not required Strong customer service skills to ensure a positive experience for clients and their pets Join us in creating a joyful environment where pets feel loved and cared for!
