•Pet Care Specialist

• Dear Madison Dogs Do you genuinely love dogs and enjoy hands-on, active work? Dear Madison Dogs is looking for a dependable, hardworking and compassionate Pet Care Specialist to join our team. Our Pet Care Specialists are responsible for helping provide a safe, clean, comfortable and fun environment for every dog entrusted to our care. While spending your day with dogs is certainly a perk, this is an active, hands-on position that requires attention to detail, excellent communication, lots of cleaning and a genuine commitment to animal care. —> Responsibilities As a Pet Care Specialist, you will: Provide attentive and compassionate care to all animals entrusted to us Prepare and offer meals according to each dog's individual feeding instructions and dietary needs Organize, administer and accurately log medications for boarding and daycare dogs Oversee and actively supervise group and individual play Continuously monitor dogs for behavior, comfort, safety and overall well-being Recognize and promptly communicate any health, behavioral or other areas of concern Maintain detailed communication with the owner/management regarding the animals in our care and daily operations Pick up pet waste and properly clean and disinfect affected areas Sweep, mop, clean and disinfect throughout the facility Wash, dry, fold and organize laundry Perform basic dog bathing and nail trims (experience is helpful but not required—we can teach you!) Greet pet owners and communicate with them in a friendly, professional and helpful manner Help maintain a positive environment and demonstrate genuine care and compassion for every animal —> Physical Requirements This is a physically active position.

Applicants must be able to:

Safely lift up to 50 lbs Safely handle dogs weighing up to 150 lbs Work both indoors and outdoors Work in varying outdoor weather conditions Stand and remain active for the duration of the shift Bend, kneel, squat, reach, walk and perform repetitive cleaning and animal-care tasks Comfortably work around dogs of different sizes, breeds, personalities and energy levels —>Time Requirements We provide care 365 days per year. Consistent shifts are 6am - 10am & 2:30pm - 6:30pm. While everyone is required to work weekends and Holidays, we schedule to ensure this is a fairly shared responsibility that also prioritizes family time & personal lives. —> Who We're Looking For Our ideal team member is: Dependable and punctual Hardworking and self-motivated Comfortable working independently as well as part of a team Observant and attentive to detail Able to follow individualized care instructions Comfortable communicating concerns clearly and promptly Friendly and professional with pet owners Willing to clean—and understands that cleaning is a significant part of providing excellent animal care Calm and confident around dogs of all sizes Able to maintain a positive attitude in a busy, physically demanding environment Someone who genuinely cares about the safety, happiness and well-being of animals —>About the Position Working with dogs can be incredibly rewarding, but excellent pet care involves much more than playing with puppies. Our team is trusted with animals who are deeply loved by their families. That means safety, cleanliness, attention to detail, reliability and communication are essential parts of this position. Pay:

$15.00 - $20.00 per hour
