Icon Pupz is a new boutique dog grooming salon in the heart of Midtown Atlanta, built around exceptional grooming, personalized service, safety, and an elevated client experience. We're building our founding team and looking for a talented, dependable, and professional Pet Groomer who takes pride in their craft and wants to grow with a new salon from the ground up. We're looking for more than someone who can simply complete a groom. We want someone who cares about the dogs in their care, communicates well with clients and teammates, maintains high standards, and contributes positively to the salon environment. What You'll Do Perform full-service dog grooming, including bathing, drying, brushing, haircuts, nail trimming, ear cleaning, and finishing services Complete breed-standard and client-requested cuts Conduct basic coat, skin, and pet condition assessments before services Communicate professionally with pet parents regarding grooming expectations and concerns Handle dogs safely, patiently, and compassionately Maintain a clean, sanitary, and organized grooming station Follow Icon Pupz safety, sanitation, and pet-handling procedures Maintain accurate client and grooming notes Work collaboratively with bathers, reception staff, management, and other groomers Help create the welcoming, high-quality experience Icon Pupz clients expect Who We're Looking For Our ideal groomer: Has 2+ years of professional dog grooming experience Is comfortable grooming a variety of breeds, sizes, coat types, and temperaments Has strong scissoring, clipper, finishing, and styling skills Is reliable and punctual Has excellent customer-service and communication skills Understands safe animal handling and recognizes signs of stress or discomfort Maintains a clean and organized workspace Works well independently while also being a team player Is receptive to salon policies, standards, and feedback Wants to build long-term clientele and grow with a new business Brings positive energy and professionalism to work Requirements Professional dog grooming experience Grooming portfolio or photos of previous work Ability to safely lift and handle dogs as required for the position Reliable transportation Availability for some Saturdays Pet CPR & First Aid certification required — current certification preferred; candidates may be required to obtain certification before beginning independent services Why Join Icon Pupz?
