The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care and a strong background in dog grooming and handling. As a Dog Groomer, you will be responsible for providing high-quality grooming services to pets while ensuring their comfort and safety. Your expertise will help maintain the health and appearance of our furry clients, contributing to their overall well-being. Responsibilities Perform grooming services including bathing, brushing, trimming, nail clipping and dremeling, and styling for various breeds of dogs. Assess the condition of pets' coats and skin to determine appropriate grooming techniques. Handle animals safely and comfortably, using proper restraint techniques when necessary. Maintaining grooming areas clean and organized grooming area, ensuring all tools and equipment are sanitized after each use and properly cared for. Communicate effectively with pet owners and staff regarding a pets' grooming needs and any observations related to their health or behavior. Provide excellent customer service to pet owners, addressing any questions or concerns they may have. Assist with animal care duties as needed, including feeding, walking, and monitoring pets in the facility. Qualifications Ideally, at least 3 years of experience in dog grooming with all breeds, weights, grooming modalities and temperaments . (additional experience in dog training or veterinary settings is a plus) Strong skills in animal handling, restraint, and care; familiarity with various breeds is preferred. Previous experience as a veterinary technician or assistant is advantageous. Knowledge of animal behavior and health issues related to grooming is beneficial. Ability to perform heavy lifting when handling larger breeds or equipment. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build rapport with pet owners. A genuine love for animals and commitment to their well-being is essential.
