Overview Join our dynamic team as a Kennel Technician and become a vital part of providing exceptional care for our furry friends! In this energetic role, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for animals in our pet care facility. Your dedication will ensure that each pet receives attentive care, proper handling, and a positive experience during their stay. This position is a 9-5pm job that offers an exciting opportunity to work closely with animals and contribute to their well-being while supporting pet owners with compassionate service. Responsibilities Provide daily care and supervision for animals in kennels, including feeding, watering, and administering medications as directed Maintain cleanliness of kennels, common areas, and equipment through regular sanitization and grooming tasks Handle animals safely using proper restraint techniques and animal handling skills to ensure safety for pets and staff Monitor animal behavior closely to identify signs of stress or illness and communicate observations to veterinary staff or management Support pet grooming activities such as bathing, brushing, and coat maintenance to keep animals comfortable and healthy Engage in team lifting and physical tasks necessary for cleaning supplies or moving animals safely within the facility Skills Experience with pet sitting, dog training, or animal behavior management enhances your ability to connect with pets effectively Strong animal handling skills combined with knowledge of animal restraint techniques ensures safety during daily activities Excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with pet owners and provide updates on their pets' well-being Ability to perform heavy lifting and outdoor work comfortably while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety Knowledge of pet grooming, sanitation protocols, and facility sanitization practices is a plus Passion for animal care combined with teamwork orientation ensures a positive environment for pets and staff alike
Pay:
From $10.00 per hour Expected hours: 28.0 per week
