Job Description

Woodstock Pet Resort is looking for a dependable, hard-working, full-time Kennel & Daycare Attendant to join our team. This is a hands-on position for someone who genuinely enjoys working with dogs, takes pride in providing exceptional care, and understands the importance of reliability. We're looking for someone who arrives on time, works well with a team, stays busy without being asked, and treats every pet as if it were their own. Previous kennel or dog daycare experience is required. Responsibilities Provide outstanding daily care for dogs and cats staying in our facility. Feed pets, administer medications as directed, and closely monitor their health and behavior. Safely handle dogs of all sizes and temperaments using appropriate restraint and handling techniques. Supervise daycare groups while promoting safe, positive play. Recognize signs of stress, illness, or behavioral changes and communicate concerns promptly. Maintain a clean and sanitary facility by disinfecting kennels, play yards, bowls, laundry, and common areas. Assist the groomers with basic grooming services as needed. Provide excellent customer service by communicating professionally with pet owners and answering questions. Accurately document feeding, medications, behavior, and daily care. Assist with opening, closing, and other daily operational tasks. Lift and carry pet food, laundry, and supplies weighing up to 50 pounds. What We're Looking For The ideal candidate is: Dependable and consistently arrives to work on time. Passionate about working with dogs and committed to providing exceptional care. Calm, patient, and confident handling dogs of all breeds, sizes, and personalities. A self-starter who notices what needs to be done and jumps in to help. Comfortable working in a fast-paced, physically active environment. Able to work weekends and holidays. We do have a sign-up sheet for holiday shifts. Professional, positive, and a team player. Qualifications Minimum 1 year of professional kennel, dog daycare, veterinary, or boarding (required). Strong understanding of canine body language and safe handling practices. Experience administering medications is a plus. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Ability to stand, bend, walk, clean, and lift throughout an entire shift. Pay:
$15.00 - $21.00 per hour
