We are seeking a Wean-To-Finish Swine Caretaker as 50% of job responsibility and the other 50% will be other general farm work depending on skill level and interests. Responsibilities of Swine Caretaker Take pride in top notch animal and facility care. Daily caretaking of 7,300 head of hogs from the time brought into the building through loadout of market size animals and then option to power wash the barns clean at the end of the turn. Sort, and medicate sick pigs, and dispose of deceased animals in timely fashion. Keep an organized and cleaned office area, and paperwork up to date. Be able to self-manage what needs taken care of on a daily basis with weekly site visits from facility owners and field staff to ensure things are taken care of at high standards.

Responsibilities of general farm help:

Some days will be spent entirely in the hog barns but most days pig responsibilities will take 2-3 hours and then fill in where you best fit into our row crop operation. General farm grounds and equipment maintenance General machine and tractor operation. CDL is a plus but not required.

Qualifications:

Be willing to work nights/weekends and long hours during busy times in exchange for flexibility on personal time off and working minimum hours and have time off during slower times. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment Strong work ethic Ability to be self-managed on time and prioritize tasks.
