Dog Walker/Pet Sitter
Job Description
- 10-20 hours per week, must Saturday and Sunday availability (on a rotating schedule), 10 a.m.
- 3 p.m. availability on 1-3 weekdays (priority to Wednesday/Friday), and at flexibility to work a couple night hours (7-9 p.m.) per week. Skills If being a dog walker and taking care of animals sounds like your dream job, that's a great start. But this job also requires a pretty specific set of skills to be the perfect fit:
- MUST love and be comfortable with animals. You like animals better than people? Perfect. Because you're not going to be seeing many people. Comfort with dogs, cats, small animals, birds, and reptiles a must.
- MUST be fastidious about following instructions and keeping a schedule. You're dealing with living creatures—mistakes can be dangerous.
- MUST thrive in controlled chaos and able to go with the flow in unpredictable situations. Animals are unpredictable, and clients are forgetful. Each day is different! You will be cleaning up poop!
- MUST be reliable, responsible, and mature. You will be managing yourself throughout the day.
- A good sense of humor helps!
