Responsibilities Supervise and engage dogs during daycare hours, ensuring their safety and happiness through active play and socialization. Perform pet grooming services including bathing, brushing, trimming, and styling to meet each pet's individual needs. Handle dogs with care using proper animal restraint techniques to ensure safety for both pets and staff. Assist with basic training exercises such as commands and behavioral cues to promote good manners and social skills. Maintain cleanliness of grooming stations, play areas, and kennels to uphold hygiene standards. Provide pet sitting services for clients who require drop-in visits or extended care periods. Communicate effectively with pet owners about their pets' behaviors, grooming preferences, and health concerns. Qualifications Previous experience in dog handling is a must , pet grooming, or kennel work is highly preferred. Knowledge of dog training techniques and veterinary experience is a strong plus. Background in veterinary technician or veterinary assistant roles demonstrates valuable animal care skills. Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary to handle large or energetic dogs safely. Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, positive attitude toward clients and their pets. Strong animal handling skills including restraint and behavior management.
