Duties Perform comprehensive grooming services including bathing, brushing, hair trimming, pet coat styling, nail trimming, ear cleaning, and de-matting to meet each dog's specific needs. Handle dogs safely and confidently using animal restraint techniques to ensure a stress-free grooming experience for pets and staff alike. Communicate effectively with pet owners to understand their grooming preferences and provide expert advice on pet coat care and maintenance. Maintain a clean, organized grooming area by sanitizing tools and equipment regularly to uphold health standards. Assist with pet handling during grooming procedures, ensuring proper animal care and comfort throughout the process. Manage kennel duties such as feeding, cleaning, and supervising pets in the facility when not being groomed. Support veterinary or veterinary technician staff with basic animal care tasks when needed, including light lifting of animals or equipment. Qualifications Proven experience in pet grooming with a strong understanding of pet coat styling and animal handling techniques. Knowledge of dog training, veterinary experience, or veterinary technician background is highly desirable. Familiarity with animal restraint methods, pet nail trimming, and general animal care practices. Excellent communication skills to engage with pet owners confidently and professionally. Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary for handling larger dogs or moving equipment safely. Prior kennel experience or pet sitting background is a plus for understanding overall animal care routines. Strong customer service orientation with a positive attitude and attention to detail.
