Must be comfortable with cleaning, supervising playgroups, monitoring behavior , and maintaining a safe, structured setting. The ideal candidate is responsible, attentive, calm under pressure , and able to follow routines while keeping the facility clean and organized. Experience with dog behavior or group management is strongly preferred. If you're dependable, great with dogs, and ready to work, we'd love to meet you. Duties Provide attentive care to dogs during weekend stays, including feeding, walking, playtime, and administering medications if needed Handle dog handling and animal restraint with confidence to ensure safety for both pets and staff Maintain cleanliness of kennels, pet boarding areas, and common spaces through regular sanitization and cleaning routines Monitor animal behavior closely to identify signs of stress or discomfort and respond appropriately Assist with pet grooming tasks such as brushing or bathing to keep animals comfortable and hygienic Support pet boarding operations by managing check-in/check-out procedures and updating pet records accurately Engage in outdoor activities with dogs, including walks and play sessions, ensuring outdoor work safety protocols are followed Requirements Prior veterinary experience or veterinary technician experience is highly desirable Experience in pet sitting, kennel work, or animal care facilities demonstrates your ability to handle multiple animals confidently Knowledge of dog training techniques and animal behavior enhances your ability to manage different temperaments effectively Strong animal handling skills combined with proficiency in animal restraint techniques ensure safety at all times Ability to perform heavy lifting and team lifting when necessary for moving supplies or large animals Excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with pet owners and address their concerns professionally Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions while maintaining a positive attitude Commitment to pet care facility sanitization standards to uphold health and safety regulations
Pay:
$17.00 - $18.00 per hour
