Full Job Description Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Professional Dog Groomer to join our team. As a Professional Dog Groomer, you will be responsible for providing high-quality grooming services to our furry clients. Your primary objective will be to ensure the well-being and aesthetics of dogs through various grooming techniques, including bathing, brushing, styling, and nail trimming. The ideal candidate should have a deep understanding of different dog breeds, their specific grooming needs, and possess excellent animal handling skills.
Responsibilities:
Perform grooming services based on client requests and breed standards, including bathing, brushing, drying, haircuts, and nail trimming. Ensure the comfort and safety of dogs during the grooming process by maintaining a calm and friendly demeanor. Assess and communicate with clients regarding their dog's specific grooming requirements and recommend appropriate services. Maintain a clean and organized grooming area, including regular sanitation of equipment and tools. Monitor and report any signs of illness, skin conditions, or abnormalities to pet owners and recommend veterinary care if necessary. Handle dogs of all sizes, breeds, and temperaments with care and compassion, using appropriate handling techniques. Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing excellent customer service and addressing any concerns or special requests. Stay updated on the latest grooming trends, techniques, and industry standards through continuous learning and professional development. Educate pet owners about proper grooming techniques, at-home maintenance, and products to enhance their dog's overall well-being.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Professional Dog Groomer or equivalent certification from a recognized grooming school. In-depth knowledge of different dog breeds, their specific grooming requirements, and breed standards. Proficient in various grooming techniques, including bathing, brushing, clipping, scissoring, and nail trimming. Ability to handle dogs of all sizes, breeds, and temperaments, with a keen eye for their safety and comfort. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with clients and understand their grooming preferences. Strong attention to detail and a passion for delivering high-quality grooming services. Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and handle multiple appointments in a fast-paced environment. Patience, empathy, and a genuine love for animals. Physical stamina and ability to lift, restrain, and groom dogs of various sizes. Knowledge of basic first aid and CPR for dogs is a plus. 2+ years grooming experience preferred. Pay:
