In this energetic role, you'll provide daily exercise, companionship, and care for dogs of all sizes and temperaments. Your positive attitude and reliable presence will help ensure each dog's day is filled with fun, safety, and love. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in pets' lives while engaging in outdoor activity and building strong relationships with clients. Responsibilities Safely walk dogs of various breeds, sizes, and energy levels in outdoor environments, ensuring proper animal handling and restraint techniques. Monitor dog behavior during walks, recognizing signs of stress or discomfort and responding appropriately. Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their dog's needs, behavior, and any concerns that arise during walks. Maintain cleanliness and safety standards by cleaning up after dogs and inspecting equipment before and after walks. Support pet care tasks such as feeding, administering medication (if trained), or basic grooming as part of the overall service. Follow established protocols for animal restraint, handling, and safety to ensure a secure environment for pets and staff alike. Qualifications Prior experience with dog handling, animal care, or pet sitting is highly desirable. Knowledge of animal behavior, training techniques, veterinary procedures, or veterinary technician experience is a plus. Comfortable performing outdoor work in various weather conditions; physical ability for heavy lifting when necessary. Excellent client communication skills to update owners on their pets' well-being confidently. Demonstrated responsibility in caring for animals with patience, compassion, and professionalism. Valid driver's license preferred for transportation between client locations; ability to manage multiple appointments efficiently.
