Job Overview We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Kennel Help to join our animal care team! In this vital role, you will assist with the daily operations of our pet care facility, ensuring a safe, clean, and nurturing environment for animals in our care. Your energy and attention to detail will help provide exceptional pet care services, support animal well-being, and maintain a welcoming atmosphere for pet owners. This paid position offers a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience working with animals while contributing to their happiness and health. Duties Assist with pet boarding, feeding, watering, and administering medications as directed Maintain cleanliness of kennels, cages, and common areas through regular sanitization and grooming Handle animals safely using proper restraint techniques and animal handling skills Support pet grooming activities including bathing, brushing, and nail trimming Monitor animal behavior to identify signs of stress or illness and report concerns promptly Assist with outdoor activities such as exercise walks or playtime in designated play areas Ensure compliance with safety protocols during team lifting, animal handling, and cleaning procedures Experience Previous veterinary experience or background as a veterinary technician is highly desirable Experience in pet sitting, dog training, or animal care facilities is preferred Familiarity with kennel operations, pet grooming, and animal restraint techniques is a plus Comfortable performing heavy lifting and outdoor work for extended periods Strong customer service skills to interact positively with pet owners and visitors Knowledge of animal behavior and pet care best practices to ensure animals' comfort and safety Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment focused on animal welfare
