Commission-based plus tips About the Position 4 Paws Lodge is seeking an experienced, compassionate, and reliable Pet Groomer to join our team. The ideal candidate is passionate about animal care, has strong grooming skills across a variety of breeds, and provides exceptional customer service while maintaining a safe and positive grooming environment. This position works closely with our Client Care Specialists, Department Managers, Groomers, Marketing Manager, General Manager, and pet owners to ensure every pet receives outstanding care and grooming services. Essential Responsibilities Perform professional bathing, brushing, clipping, trimming, nail care, and grooming services for dogs and cats. Groom a variety of breeds according to breed standards or client preferences. Safely handle pets of different sizes, temperaments, and grooming needs. Evaluate coat and skin condition and communicate concerns to management or pet owners when appropriate. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of grooming equipment and work areas. Properly handle and use grooming shampoos and products. Build positive relationships with clients and provide excellent customer service. Work collaboratively with other team members to provide exceptional pet care. Qualifications Required High school diploma or GED. Professional pet grooming certification or equivalent grooming experience. At least 1 year of professional pet grooming experience . Confident grooming all breeds and coat types. Strong animal handling and restraint skills. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Dependable, Punctual and Self-Motivated. Genuine love for animals and treats every pet with kindness and patience. Physical Requirements The employee must be able to: Stand for extended periods. Bend, kneel, crouch, and reach frequently. Use hands and fingers to safely operate grooming equipment. Lift and safely handle pets of varying sizes. Work efficiently in a fast-paced grooming environment.
