We are currently hiring for both full-time and part-time positions. Since 2004, Home Sweet Home has provided a safe, fun, and engaging environment for dogs in our community. We pride ourselves on creating carefully managed playgroups and providing individualized care for every dog that stays with us. We are looking for team members who are dependable, eager to learn, and passionate about animal care and customer service. This is a fast-paced, hands-on position that involves working directly with dogs throughout the day while also helping maintain a clean, organized, and safe facility. Preferred Qualifications Previous animal care, kennel, daycare, boarding, veterinary, or customer service experience is preferred but not required. We are willing to train the right candidates with strong work ethic and a positive attitude. Skills & Requirements Must be at least 18 years old Excellent communication and customer service skills Ability to lift up to 50 lbs Ability to remain active and stand for most if not all shifts Comfortable working hands-on with dogs of all breeds, sizes, temperaments, and energy levels Ability to multitask and stay attentive in a fast-paced environment Strong attention to detail and willingness to take initiative Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently as well as part of a team Comfortable performing cleaning and sanitation duties throughout shifts Ability to remain calm and confident while supervising groups of dogs Commitment to maintaining the safety of our dogs, the cleanliness of our facility, and a positive experience for our clients Responsibilities Supervise and safely manage indoor and outdoor dog playgroups Monitor dog behavior and interactions to ensure safe and appropriate play Clean and sanitize boarding areas, daycare rooms, kennels, and common spaces Feed dogs and administer medications according to instructions Perform baths and nail trims Complete daily housekeeping duties including laundry, dishes, mopping, and general facility upkeep Assist customers with check-in/check-out procedures Answer phone calls and communicate professionally with clients Work closely with coworkers and management to ensure excellent care for every dog Shift Information Weekday staffing hours are between 6:30 AM and 7:00 PM Weekend staffing hours are between 7:00 AM and 5:00 PM Applicants must be available to either open or close the facility Flexible shift lengths are available, making this a great opportunity for students or those seeking part-time flexibility Weekend and holiday availability may be required If you love dogs, enjoy staying active, and thrive in a team-oriented environment, we would love to hear from you!
