In this vital role, you will provide exceptional care and attention to our furry guests, ensuring their comfort, safety, and happiness during their stay. Your energetic approach and love for animals will help create a welcoming environment for pets and peace of mind for their owners. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to work hands-on with a variety of animals while developing valuable skills in animal care and customer service. Responsibilities Provide daily care for pets including feeding, watering, exercise, and administering medications as needed Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kennels, cages, and common areas to ensure a hygienic environment Handle animals safely using proper restraint techniques and animal handling skills Monitor pet behavior and health, reporting any concerns to veterinary staff or supervisors promptly Assist with pet boarding, grooming, and pet sitting services to meet client needs Support outdoor work activities such as walking dogs or cleaning outdoor enclosures Engage with pet owners in a friendly, professional manner to answer questions and provide updates on their pets' well-being Skills Experience working with animals in veterinary clinics, pet boarding facilities, or kennels is recommended Knowledge of animal behavior and handling techniques for dogs and other pets Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when moving supplies or assisting with animal restraint equipment Strong customer service skills to communicate effectively with pet owners and team members Experience in pet grooming, pet sitting, or dog training is a plus Familiarity with kennel cleaning procedures and sanitization practices for pet care facilities Outdoor work experience that demonstrates stamina and reliability in various weather conditions
Pay:
$10.00 - $12.00 per hour People with a criminal record are encouraged to apply
