Full Job Description Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Kennel Technician to join our team. As a Kennel Technician, you will play a vital role in providing care and support to our furry friends. This position requires a love for animals, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.Duties:
- Provide daily care for animals including feeding, watering, and administering medication as directed
- Clean and sanitize kennels, cages, and common areas to maintain a clean and safe environment
- Monitor the health and well-being of animals, reporting any concerns to the veterinary staff
- Exercise and socialize animals to promote their physical and mental well-being
- Assist with grooming tasks such as bathing, brushing, and nail trimming
- Assist with basic dog training exercises under the guidance of the training staff
- Handle animals safely and securely during check-ins, check-outs, and throughout their stay
- Maintain accurate records of animal care, behavior observations, and any medical treatments
Experience:
- Previous experience in pet grooming, dog training, or animal care is preferred but not required
- Ability to handle dogs of all sizes and temperaments with confidence and patience
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact professionally with pet owners
- Knowledge of basic animal health and behavior is a plus
