Job Summary Join our vibrant team as a Pet Groomer, where your passion for animals and talent for styling come together to create happy, healthy pets and satisfied pet owners. In this energetic role, you'll provide professional grooming services that enhance each pet's appearance and well-being. Your expertise will help build lasting relationships with clients while ensuring every pet feels safe, comfortable, and pampered throughout their grooming experience. This paid position offers a dynamic environment where animal care and customer service go hand in hand to make a positive impact on pets' lives. Duties Perform pet grooming services including bathing, brushing, trimming, and styling coats to meet breed standards or owner preferences Handle animals with gentle care, ensuring proper restraint and safety during grooming procedures Conduct pet nail trimming, ear cleaning, and other hygiene maintenance tasks Communicate effectively with pet owners to understand grooming preferences and provide advice on pet coat care Maintain a clean and organized grooming station, including sanitizing tools and work areas regularly Assist with animal handling during intake and departure, ensuring all pets are comfortable and secure Support additional animal care duties such as kennel cleaning. Requirements Proven experience in pet grooming, including pet coat styling and pet nail trimming Knowledge of dog training techniques and animal handling best practices, such as working with puppies Veterinary experience or background as a veterinary technician or assistant is highly desirable Familiarity with animal restraint techniques to ensure safety for pets and groomers alike Strong communication skills for engaging with pet owners about grooming needs and animal care tips Ability to lift heavy pets or equipment safely as required by the role Prior kennel experience or heavy lifting experience is a plus for managing larger animals or supplies Join us in creating a joyful grooming experience that leaves pets looking fabulous and feeling loved!
