Join Our Grooming Team at Wellspring Animal Hospital! Wellspring Animal Hospital is excited to welcome an experienced Pet Groomer to our growing veterinary support team. We are a full-service practice providing comprehensive medical care alongside professional grooming services, and we take pride in serving pets and their families in our community. Our hospital features a dedicated, state-of-the-art grooming facility where groomers have the autonomy to manage their services, build relationships with clients, and work alongside a supportive veterinary team. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled and motivated groomer who enjoys working independently while being part of a collaborative hospital environment.
Qualifications :
Professional pet grooming experience working with a variety of dog breeds and coat types Knowledge of breed-specific grooming standards Ability to safely handle pets of varying sizes and temperaments Strong customer service and communication skills Grooming certification is a plus Portfolio and references required
Key Responsibilities :
Perform full grooming services including bathing, drying, haircuts/styling, brush-outs, nail trims, de-matting, ear cleaning, and gland expression Evaluate each pet's coat and skin condition and communicate grooming recommendations to pet owners Engage with clients to understand grooming preferences and expectations Safely handle pets of various sizes and temperaments during grooming procedures Maintain a clean, organized grooming area throughout the day and at the end of each shift
Schedule and Compensation :
Compensation for this role is based on 50% commission on grooming services, or $8 per hour worked, whichever is greater. This is a part-time position, with availability needed: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday & Satuday Part-time team members may be eligible for limited benefits in accordance with company policy and state law Why Choose Wellspring?
