Cat Boarding Caretaker Only work when cats are boarding. Clean cat cottages, feed, water, and medicate cats twice a day - in the morning on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday and evening on Wednesday sharing the duties with another caretaker. Provide care on holidays with duties shared with other employees. We typically have a few days and weeks where there are no cats boarding. Additional duties include maintaining the boarding ward in a clean, organized manner, assisting with laundry, managing boarding-related inventory such as food and litter, documenting daily notes for each boarder, and sending messages including photos to each boarder's pet parent daily. Will need to monitor boarders for signs of illness and report it to the medical director. Each visit may take from 30 minutes to 2 hours to provide complete care for all the boarders. The amount of time will depend on the number of boarders, how messy they are, how co-operative they are, and how quickly you work. Most visits will be about an hour on average. We can accommodate up to 12 boarders at a time.
