Duties Perform pet grooming services including bathing, brushing, trimming, styling, and pet coat styling tailored to each animal's breed and individual needs Handle animals safely using proper animal restraint techniques to ensure comfort and security during grooming procedures Conduct pet nail trimming, ear cleaning, and other hygiene maintenance tasks with precision and care Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding grooming preferences, special needs, and aftercare instructions Assist with dog training exercises or behavioral assessments as needed to support overall pet well-being Maintain cleanliness of grooming stations, tools, and equipment to ensure a hygienic environment for pets and staff Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client questions or concerns professionally and courteously Requirements Proven experience in pet grooming or related animal care fields such as veterinary technician or assistant work Strong dog handling skills along with animal handling experience across various species including equine or other companion animals preferred Knowledge of veterinary procedures such as animal restraint, pet nail trimming, and basic health assessments is highly desirable Ability to lift heavy objects (heavy lifting) such as large dogs or equipment safely and comfortably Excellent communication skills for engaging with pet owners about grooming needs and pet care advice Experience with kennel management or pet sitting is a plus for understanding comprehensive animal care routines A genuine passion for animals combined with a positive attitude and attention to detail Join us in delivering exceptional pet care that keeps tails wagging and owners smiling!
