Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Pet Care Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care and welfare, providing essential support in maintaining a safe and clean environment for our furry clients. This role involves working closely with animals, ensuring their well-being, assisting with various tasks related to their care, as well as customer service and some possible clerical tasks. Responsibilities Provide daily care for animals in the kennel, including feeding, watering, and exercising them. You may be required to be outside with dogs for extended periods of time for both playtime and during daily cleaning tasks. Maintain cleanliness of kennels, play areas, and equipment to ensure a hygienic environment. Monitor the health and behavior of animals, reporting any concerns to management staff. Assist with grooming tasks as needed, including bathing and brushing. Handle animals safely and effectively, employing proper restraint techniques when necessary. Provide excellent customer service by communicating with pet owners about their pets' needs and behaviors. Skills Strong knowledge of animal care practices and behavior. Excellent customer service skills to interact positively with pet owners. Ability to handle dogs of various sizes safely and confidently. Capability to perform heavy lifting as required for animal handling and kennel maintenance. Familiarity with pet care practices is beneficial. Experience in animal restraint techniques to ensure safety during handling is also beneficial. Ability to focus on the work at hand without being distracted by a cellphone or other mobile device.
